Jake Barton is principal and founder of Local Projects, which created the media design for the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, and the Frank Gehry-designed Eisenhower Presidential Memorial. Local Projects has won best in class for every major design competition including the National Design Award, Cannes Lions, D&AD, Art Director’s Club, Core 77, SEGD and was named second in Fast Company’s list of most innovative design firms for its redefinition of emotional storytelling. Jake is recognized as a leader in the field of media design for physical spaces. Clients include Target, StoryCorps, Equal Justice Initiative, Project XQ, GE, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Johnson & Johnson, BMW Guggenheim Lab, Cleveland Museum of Art, and the National Museum of African-American History and Culture.
